The catalytic impact of FireCube

FireCube® is a new and exclusive solution to improve combustion by catalysis. It consists in transforming a precursor in gas, inextricably mixed with the combustion air.

EcoSoftec has developped an innovative technology to upgrade combustion by a unique approach : combustion under catalysis, which is a largely unexplored scientific field.
Our concept is based on the fact that thermal oxydation can still be improved by getting closer to stoichiometric conditions, without changing the design of the process and their related unaffordable investment .
Fields of application
FireCube® technology is implemented on different thermal systems from several Manufacturers.
FireCube is designed to be efficient on most of the carbon-based fuels, either renewable or fossils. It is very valuable on difficult liquid fuels such as HFOs, or on solid renewable fuels with growing demand, such as biomass (wood and waste-wood).

Wood-base industry

• Water-tubes cogeneration boiler of 18 TSteam, 65 bars pressure, fed with bark and woodship.
• Less steam soot-blowing ; steam dedicated to production only.
• Higher proportion of low-quality fuel (lower GCV)
• Operating conditions improved
• Therefore, boiler is operated at a better global cost

Dairy industry

• Water+Smoke tubes boiler of 20 TSteam, 37 bars pressure, fed with waste wood :
• Deposits removal in combustion chamber
• Clinker and glass forming stopped
• Time for maintenance reduced 3 times
• Instant peak performance up to 23 TSteam/hour, and 450 TSteam/day instead of 350 before ending a cycle.
• Next challenge : to try to operate with a fuel of lower quality, and cheaper

Paper industry

• Smoke-tubes boiler operated at 10 TSteam, 7 bars pressure, fed with N°2 HFO (LSC) :
• Increase of efficiency : 5,5%
• None CO detected, whatever the load
• NOx minus 20%
• Pulverization of deposits
• Smoke temperature at the minimum level design
• Next challenge: install an economizer or an air pre-heater without any steam blowing
